Our Mission

The mission of Love INC (Love in the Name of Christ) is to mobilize the Body of Christ to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ. In 2009, Love INC of Harrison partnered with 17 churches and 14 community agencies in serving nearly one-thousand (1000) needy families in the Southwest Local School District area. Included in those families' needs were food, utilities, clothing, furniture, medical expenses and rent. Love INC's staff consists of an Executive Director, a Clearinghouse Coordinator and an Office Manager. The staff is supplemented by 37 volunteers who donated 1660 hours of service in 2009. Our goal for Harrison for 2010 is to increase the self sufficiency of needy families through education and spiritual direction in partnership with churches and community resources.

Our Ministry

Love INC's primary ministry is to serve as a local clearinghouse which maintains information on resources available to people in need. Those resources include community agencies, local churches, and the talents of the people in congregations. Christian staff and volunteers prayerfully and lovingly receive requests for help and screen them for legitimacy and extent of need. Each need is then referred to the appropriate partner church or agency. Volunteers follow up to ensure the need was met and to offer prayer and spiritual support. Love INC offers assistance to anyone in the community who is in need.

Love INC Harrison is in need of                          two Clearinghouse Volunteers for                    Monday and Friday, 9:30a.m. - 1:30.p.m.

Would like a Christian individual with a heart for our neighbors in need and who has been blessed with patient personality. Also, preferably with previous customer service or office phone skill experience.
